Fox News host Sean Hannity said the midterm race would look different without the war with Iran. He made the remark during Fox’s midterm coverage, in a clip shared on X.

Anchor Bret Baier asked: “If we didn’t go to war with Iran, is this a much different race tonight?” Hannity replied: “I think 100 percent. I don’t think there’s any doubt about it.”

A Rare Admission From a Trump Ally

Hannity is one of President Donald Trump’s most prominent media allies. His comment linked the Iran war directly to the Republican losses unfolding on Tuesday night, Nov. 3, 2026.

Other Trump allies have also blamed the Iran war for the party’s losses, the Wall Street Journal reported. Decision Desk HQ has projected that Democrats will win the House.

Trump’s Response to the Results

Trump has said he will accept the midterm results and work with Democrats, the New York Times reported. Democrats also flipped several Republican-held Senate seats, according to projections.
