Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan sharply criticized Israel on Saturday, accusing it of launching strikes on Iran to deliberately sabotage upcoming nuclear negotiations between Tehran and Washington. Speaking at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) foreign ministers’ summit in Istanbul, Erdoğan said Israel "did not want to resolve issues through diplomacy."

“These attacks are not coincidental,” Erdoğan said. “They are calculated efforts to prevent the possibility of dialogue and peace.”

Call for United Muslim Action Against Israel

Erdoğan urged Muslim-majority nations to take coordinated steps, including punitive legal measures, to hold Israel accountable for violations of international law and UN resolutions. He called on governments "with influence over Israel" to ignore its "poison" and instead support a peaceful resolution to the conflict.

Push for De-escalation and Legal Accountability

The Turkish leader’s remarks come amid a rapidly worsening military confrontation between Israel and Iran, with diplomacy hanging in the balance. Erdoğan reiterated the importance of averting a broader regional conflict through multilateral dialogue and adherence to international norms.
