The United Arab Emirates reported disruptions at Dubai International Airport, one of the world’s busiest, after a drone attack ignited a fire near a fuel tank. Civil defence teams swiftly contained the blaze, and no casualties have been reported so far.
The Dubai Media Office confirmed that the fire, caused by an impact near the airport, has been successfully contained. Several flights have been diverted as a precaution while authorities assess the damage.
The strike comes amid escalating Iranian attacks across the Gulf region targeting civilian infrastructure and US assets. Neighboring countries—including Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia—reported intercepting drones and missiles, highlighting growing regional tensions.
UAE civil defence and airport officials continue to monitor the situation, ensuring safety measures are in place and coordinating with airlines to minimize further disruption.
