Türkiye will continue opposing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s destabilizing policies, Presidency Communications Director Burhanettin Duran said, accusing the Israeli prime minister of pursuing an “occupier mentality” across the region.

Duran said Netanyahu’s recent remarks targeting Türkiye reflected growing international isolation and domestic political pressure, arguing that hostility toward Ankara was being used as a political tool.

‘Fueling Instability’

Duran said regional countries and the wider international community were increasingly resisting Netanyahu’s policies and supporting efforts to restore stability in the Middle East.

He argued that the Israeli government had abandoned diplomacy and dialogue, instead linking security to continued military action.

According to Duran, Türkiye’s stance was not driven by any threat it posed to Israel, but by Ankara’s opposition to policies it views as damaging regional security.

Türkiye Vows to Continue Opposition

Duran said Israeli actions in Gaza, Syria and Lebanon, along with settler violence and statements by extremist members of the government, had further damaged Israel’s international standing.

He said Ankara would continue supporting countries pursuing peaceful policies, particularly Syria.

“As Türkiye, we will continue to fight against genocidal Netanyahu’s destabilizing activities and stand by all states in our region, particularly Syria, that pursue peaceful policies.”

Ankara Pushes Two-State Solution

Duran said Israel should stop further destabilizing steps and instead pursue a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

He said Türkiye would continue prioritizing regional peace while remaining prepared to protect its security and national interests.

“History clearly demonstrates that there is nothing we would not do for our own security, the survival of our state and the well-being of our nation.”

Duran added that Ankara would not be drawn into actions that could further undermine regional stability, while insisting that Türkiye would not allow Netanyahu’s policies to threaten the security of the country or its partners.
