On Thursday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted airstrikes that killed a senior commander from Hezbollah’s elite Radwan unit and another fighter near Beit Leif.

Key Hezbollah and Iranian Figures Eliminated

These strikes are part of a broader Israeli effort to dismantle Hezbollah’s operational structure and Iranian assets in Lebanon. Among the most notable targets was Bakri, head of the Al-Sadiq exchange network, who played a vital role in channeling funds from Iran’s Quds Force to Hezbollah. In parallel operations, Israel also targeted high-ranking members of Iran’s Quds Force. Saeed Izadi, commander of the Palestine Division and a key liaison between Tehran and Hamas, was killed. Another major loss for the Quds Force was Behnam Shahriyari, who managed a vast financial and weapons distribution network across the region. His network reportedly funneled hundreds of millions of dollars annually through money exchanges, shell companies, and couriers.
