The United States has announced it will deny entry to senior Palestinian Authority and Palestine Liberation Organization officials ahead of the UN General Assembly, a move that could silence President Mahmoud Abbas on one of the world’s most visible diplomatic stages. The measure, introduced by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, cancels existing visas and blocks new applications.
