The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported on Sunday that at least 670 Palestinians have been killed in the occupied West Bank since the beginning of last year, including 129 children. More than 5,590 people were injured, of whom 1,067 were minors. The report also documented nearly 2,374 settler attacks that left Palestinians dead, injured, or dispossessed, with 39,847 people forced to flee their homes.

Civilian Toll And Settler Violence

According to the UN, the rise in violence in the West Bank has coincided with intensified Israeli military raids. Settler attacks against Palestinians also increased sharply, leading to widespread property destruction, deaths, and displacement. The report highlights that the violence has had a devastating effect on daily life, as many communities face restricted movement and loss of livelihood alongside constant security operations.

Displacement And Humanitarian Crisis

The UN said that nearly 40,000 Palestinians have been displaced due to Israeli military actions and settler activity. Families in affected areas have been left without shelter and basic services, while aid agencies struggle to reach them under difficult conditions. The escalation has compounded a broader humanitarian crisis across the Palestinian territories, with international organizations warning that displacement and violence could worsen without urgent intervention.
