Syria’s Minister of Defense, Murhaf Abu Qasra, announced the complete integration of various military units into the newly established Syrian Army, bringing the country closer to a unified military structure.
Abu Qasra set a firm 10-day deadline for any remaining small military factions to join the Ministry of Defense, warning that failure to do so would lead to "appropriate measures in accordance with the law."
Turkistan Islamic Party Joins as 84th Division
After Abu Qasra’s warning the Turkistan Islamic Party (TIP) has formally joined the Syrian Army as the 84th Division, signaling a significant shift in the group's role within Syria’s security framework.
The TIP’s decision to align with the Ministry of Defense marks a critical moment in the ongoing restructuring of the country’s military forces.

The integration of diverse armed groups into the national army is a cornerstone of Syria’s post-conflict recovery strategy, aimed at restoring centralized military control and reducing the influence of local militias. This move comes as Syria seeks to stabilize its internal security and rebuild state institutions after years of civil war.
