Former President Donald Trump stated on Friday that he would "absolutely" consider another attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities to halt uranium enrichment if intelligence reports indicate Tehran is continuing its nuclear advancements. This comes just days after a significant bombing raid on the Natanz, Isfahan, and Fordow nuclear sites, which Trump claimed had "obliterated" Iran's nuclear weapons program.

U.S. Military Response

Trump's remarks were made at a press conference following the U.S. military’s strike on Iranian nuclear sites. Despite claims of significant damage from the attack, early intelligence reports have raised doubts about its effectiveness, suggesting that Iran’s uranium stockpile remains largely intact and that some nuclear sites could be rebuilt in a matter of months.

Khamenei's Retort

In response to the U.S. bombing, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, dismissed the effectiveness of the American strikes. He declared that the U.S. mission “did not achieve anything,” calling Trump’s statements exaggerated. Trump, however, remained adamant that the U.S. military operation had severely disrupted Iran's nuclear ambitions.

Military Tensions Escalate

The heightened rhetoric follows Iran’s missile strike on a U.S. military base in Qatar, which Trump labeled a "weak response" to the U.S. military actions. As tensions continue to rise, both nations are locked in a dangerous standoff over Iran's nuclear program.
