U.S. President Donald Trump condemned both Israel and Iran for violating a ceasefire he had announced earlier Tuesday, saying he was "really unhappy with Israel" for resuming attacks immediately after agreeing to pause hostilities.

Trump Criticizes Both Sides, Especially Israel

Speaking Tuesday, Trump expressed frustration over the collapse of the U.S.-mediated truce between Israel and Iran. “I’m not happy with Israel… really unhappy with Israel,” he said, criticizing Tel Aviv for “unloading” bombs shortly after accepting the ceasefire terms. “Israel, do not drop those bombs,” Trump warned, urging Israeli forces to “bring your pilots home.”

While also noting dissatisfaction with Iran, Trump’s comments marked a rare rebuke of Israel, traditionally a close U.S. ally. “I’m not happy with Iran either,” he added, referencing ongoing tensions.

Ceasefire Unravels Within Hours

The ceasefire had been announced earlier in the day as a diplomatic breakthrough but quickly faltered. According to Israeli officials, an Iranian missile was detected just an hour after the truce took effect. Iran denied the allegation and countered that Israel had conducted airstrikes in the same timeframe.

Both sides exchanged accusations of being the first to violate the ceasefire, adding to confusion and eroding trust in further negotiations.

Trump Declares Iran’s Nuclear Program “Destroyed”

Despite the escalation, Trump insisted that Iranian nuclear capabilities had been eliminated during recent U.S. and Israeli operations. “They will never be rebuilt,” he said, suggesting the campaign had achieved a strategic goal despite the failure to sustain peace.

The president’s remarks reflect the fragile nature of the ceasefire and the high risk of renewed large-scale conflict as mutual mistrust lingers.
