No city remains, no building, no people… Gaza is struggling to get back on its feet amid the destruction caused by the war. Every corner of the city is filled with rubble, and in the shadow of lost lives, there isn’t even a single house to breathe in. Nevertheless, the Palestinians have not lost their spirit of resistance. Under the Gaza agreement, the bodies of Israeli captives trapped under the rubble will be handed over to Israel. However, this process is quite difficult due to the lack of equipment to remove the debris in a city that has been destroyed. Yet Trump and Netanyahu expect Hamas to extract these bodies from the rubble. With specialized equipment required, the move from the U.S. and Israel raises the question: “Is the agreement being deliberately violated?”
“Israel Could Return to War at My Word”
U.S. President Donald Trump threatened Hamas, emphasizing Israel’s determination in the war. He stated that if Hamas does not release the captives and fails to fulfill its obligations under the ceasefire agreement, Israel could resume operations.
According to Israeli media, Israeli Defense Minister Benny Katz held a meeting with Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir and senior generals. Katz instructed the military to prepare a “comprehensive plan to completely defeat Hamas” if the ceasefire is violated or attacks resume. Katz also stated that the plan includes destroying tunnels in Gaza in coordination with an international force led by the U.S.
Hamas: Agreement Obligations Fulfilled
Following U.S. President Donald Trump’s statement that “Israel could return to war at my word,” Hamas responded. In a statement, Hamas said: “The resistance has fulfilled its obligations under the agreement by handing over all live Israeli captives and the bodies it could reach. Comprehensive work and specialized equipment are required to recover the remaining bodies.”
