Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said Saturday that Russia unleashed more than 30 missiles and 300 drones overnight, targeting critical infrastructure across Ukraine in one of the most intensive air assaults in recent months.

Speaking via Telegram, Zelenskiy confirmed that the northern city of Sumy suffered significant damage, with thousands of families experiencing power outages.

The latest attacks underscore the persistent threat Ukraine faces from Russia’s sustained drone and missile campaigns aimed at energy and civilian infrastructure. While Kyiv’s air defences have shot down many drones in previous barrages, the sheer volume of these strikes continues to stretch Ukraine’s capabilities.
