Sudan Doctors Network confirmed on Wednesday that a Rapid Support Forces (RSF) assault on El-Ghabşan El-Maramra village in southern North Kordofan killed seven civilians, among them two children, and left 13 others wounded. Witnesses reported widespread looting and the burning of homes, along with the village’s only health center, including theft of medical supplies. Humanitarian organizations condemned the attack as part of a pattern of systematic violence against civilians in RSF-held areas, urging the international community to pressure RSF leadership to halt abuses.

According to the Sudan Doctors Network, RSF fighters launched a violent raid on the village, targeting residents indiscriminately. The attack resulted in seven civilian deaths, including children, and left more than a dozen injured. Reports indicate that survivors are now without access to medical facilities after the destruction of the health center, aggravating already dire humanitarian conditions in the region.

The attackers looted villagers’ money and property, burned several houses, and destroyed the only functioning health facility, removing vital medicines. Independent medical groups labeled the incident part of a broader RSF campaign of systematic killings and abuse in areas under their control. The United Nations and aid agencies have raised alarms over worsening conditions, with hospitals repeatedly targeted, leaving 90% of Sudan’s medical facilities at some point forced to close since the war began.
