Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar will visit China from May 19 to 21 at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, according to a statement from the Chinese Foreign Ministry on Monday.

The visit is expected to focus on deepening economic ties, regional security, and strategic cooperation as both countries seek to strengthen their long-standing partnership amid shifting geopolitical dynamics.

China and Pakistan share a close strategic relationship, highlighted by the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), a critical component of Beijing’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). The visit comes at a time when both nations are looking to expand trade, infrastructure investment, and security cooperation in the face of regional challenges.
