Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced Tuesday that Israel has agreed to the ceasefire proposal put forward by U.S. President Donald Trump, declaring that Israel has successfully eliminated Iran’s nuclear and ballistic missile threat.

“Threat Removed,” Netanyahu Says

In a statement released by his office, Netanyahu thanked Trump for his unwavering support during the 12-day conflict. “Israel has achieved its goal of removing the Iranian nuclear and ballistic missile threat,” the statement read.

The claim aligns with U.S. assessments that Iranian enrichment sites and missile depots were severely damaged during joint American-Israeli strikes.

Vigilance Despite Ceasefire

Netanyahu’s office emphasized that while Israel is committed to the ceasefire, any breach by Iran will trigger immediate retaliation. “Israel will respond forcefully to any violations,” it warned.

The Prime Minister is expected to give a formal address later Tuesday to outline the post-ceasefire security posture and possible political consequences.

Diplomatic and Strategic Calculations

The ceasefire follows Trump’s coordination with Qatar and Israeli leadership. Israeli officials have publicly maintained that their campaign degraded Tehran’s capacity to pursue nuclear weapons, although international inspectors have not confirmed the full extent of the damage.

As the region braces for what comes next, Netanyahu's upcoming remarks are expected to signal Israel’s next diplomatic and security priorities.
