Melania Trump’s demand that Congress hold public hearings added another layer of complexity. “I call on Congress to provide the women who have been victimized by Epstein with a public hearing,” she said, urging testimony under oath and permanent record.

The response was immediate but mixed. Representative Robert Garcia supported hearings, while Republican Tim Burchett also signaled backing.

Some have speculated the statement followed social media posts by Amanda Ungaro, a Brazilian model linked to Paolo Zampolli, a longtime Trump associate.

Ungaro, who reportedly entered U.S. modeling circles connected to Epstein-linked figures in 2002, has publicly said she would “expose everything.” Her deportation and custody dispute have added to the narrative surrounding the episode.

The confusion is expected to deepened as speculation spreads beyond Washington, with some observers linking the timing of her intervention to the broader political climate surrounding the war in Iran.

Others point to emerging theories and external pressures, leaving the central question unresolved: why now, and what, if anything, prompted such a rare and sudden public move.
