Colonel Gilbert Diarra stated that the armored vehicle was discovered immobilized near the Mauritanian border, while the truck was located roughly 30 kilometers from Nioro. Both were restored by Malian forces. Alongside the equipment, abandoned weapons and decomposed bodies were found at the scene, highlighting the intensity of recent clashes.

Lieutenant Colonel Siaka Koumaré called for vigilance and active cooperation from the population to help secure areas under threat.

In a separate operation near Lake Télé, FAMa recovered around 100 cattle that had been stolen by armed groups from residents of Fatakara—an evacuated village whose 5,000 residents fled due to violence. According to the report, Malian forces engaged in a brief firefight and neutralized four fighters before reclaiming the livestock.

The attackers had reportedly been demanding "zakat" from local populations, enforcing their rule in the deserted area. Local civilians, displaced for months, expressed hope of returning soon to resume agricultural activities during the critical harvest season.
