The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Thursday that it had carried out an overnight airstrike on a Hezbollah military facility in southern Lebanon, alleging that the site was disguised as a civilian structure in the area of Yochmor. According to the IDF, Hezbollah used the building to plan and execute operations against Israel.

“The existence of the headquarters and its use constitute a blatant violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon,” the IDF said, accusing Hezbollah of “exploiting the civilian population to promote terrorist plots.”

The incident comes amid ongoing cross-border tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, which have escalated steadily since the start of the Gaza conflict and the spillover of hostilities along the Israeli-Lebanese frontier.
