On 7 July 2025, the IAF formalized new caucuses in Ethiopia, Ivory Coast, Lesotho, Seychelles, Gabon, and Guinea-Conakry. The announcement reflects growing support for Israel among African legislators, especially after the Africa-Israel Parliamentary Summit in September 2024, where over 40 parliamentarians from 20 nations reaffirmed recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
Josh Reinstein, IAF President, stated, “The creation of these six new caucuses is more than a diplomatic milestone; it is a powerful affirmation of our shared biblical values.” The IAF, founded on religious solidarity with Israel, sees the move as part of a broader strategy uniting nations around common moral and spiritual principles.
African Leaders Voice Support for Israel
Lesotho's Reverend MP Paul Pusetso Masiu expressed intentions for stronger bilateral ties, even calling for the establishment of an embassy in Jerusalem. Meanwhile, IAF’s African Director Bishop Dennis Nthumbi emphasized unity, declaring, “Africa stands with Israel, not as a political bloc, but as a family restored.”
The IAF’s expansion into Africa marks a significant diplomatic step rooted in faith, innovation, and mutual cooperation, with implications for future Israel-Africa relations in security, agriculture, and governance.
