The barrage came after US forces, in coordination with Israel, struck Iran’s nuclear sites at Isfahan, Natanz, and Fordow. President Donald Trump called the strikes a “spectacular military success” and claimed they had “obliterated” Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.
Iran responded by launching 27 missiles in two volleys toward Israel. Explosions were heard in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, and air raid sirens were triggered across the country. According to Israeli police, weapons fragments were found near Haifa, and at least 20 people were injured nationwide.
Cities Hit, Buildings Destroyed
Emergency services rushed to multiple impact sites. In Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Beersheba—frequent targets of Iranian fire—rescue teams evacuated civilians from destroyed buildings. Photos from Haifa show rescue workers carrying children from the rubble, while firefighters battled flames in apartment blocks.
One of the strikes also hit the central Israeli city of Ness Ziona, prompting a large-scale emergency response.
Death Toll Rises Amid Censorship
The Israeli government has confirmed 50 missile impacts since the beginning of the war on June 13. At least 25 people have been killed, with many more injured, though reporting is limited under military censorship laws.
Despite the intensity of the US strikes, Iran’s National Nuclear Safety System and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said no radiation leaks had been detected at the bombed sites.
Iran Warns of “Everlasting Consequences”
Iranian officials condemned the US attacks as "outrageous," accusing Washington of targeting peaceful nuclear installations. Tehran vowed "everlasting consequences" for what it sees as an unprovoked act of war.
Meanwhile, in a televised address, Trump told the Iranian leadership to “make peace or face future US attacks.”
