Nuclear Deal and Defence Policy
In the same post, the top Iranian diplomat reiterated Tehran’s long-standing position on nuclear diplomacy, saying Iran has always welcomed a “mutually beneficial, fair and equitable NUCLEAR DEAL” conducted on an equal footing and free from coercion, threats and intimidation. He emphasized that Iran’s rights to peaceful nuclear technology must be guaranteed.
Araghchi also underlined that Iran has never sought to acquire nuclear weapons and that such weapons “have no place in our security calculations,” reinforcing the country’s official stance on non-proliferation.
