IDF Strikes Underground Hezbollah Site in Southern Lebanon
Israeli Air Force targeted a Hezbollah site near Beaufort Ridge
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that the site was part of a “significant underground project” and was “completely taken out” in the strike. According to the IDF, Hezbollah had been attempting to rehabilitate the facility in recent weeks.
A military statement said: “The presence of this site and the attempts to re-establish it constitute a blatant violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon.”
Cross-Border Tensions Continue
The strike is the latest in a series of Israeli military actions in southern Lebanon amid ongoing tensions with Hezbollah. The targeted area near the Beaufort Ridge has seen multiple military activities over the past year.
Hezbollah has not issued an official statement regarding the incident. The group, which maintains a significant presence in southern Lebanon, has frequently clashed with Israeli forces along the border.
