The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation reported that 19 people were trampled and one stabbed to death at one of its distribution centers in Khan Younis. The incident unfolded when panic broke out among hundreds gathered to receive humanitarian aid. GHF said in a statement that it had “credible reason” to believe armed agitators affiliated with Hamas were responsible for triggering the unrest.

Palestinian medical sources, cited by Reuters, said victims died from suffocation in an overcrowded space. “Too many people were packed into a narrow zone. When panic hit, they had nowhere to escape,” a medic said.

The UN Human Rights Office confirmed that more than 875 Palestinians have died near aid distribution points and convoys over the past six weeks. Most of these incidents occurred around GHF-operated facilities, which the UN has described as “death traps.”

The international body urged for immediate reforms in the way humanitarian aid is delivered in Gaza, stressing the need for secure and humane mechanisms that prevent further loss of life.
