Speaking to France Info television, Barrot said that no new evacuations will be conducted until lessons are learned from the incident. French and Israeli security authorities had initially failed to detect the controversial posts, prompting a full review of entry procedures. Authorities are now reassessing the files of all Palestinians previously admitted into France under evacuation programs.

According to the French press agency, the student's online posts allegedly called for violence against Jews. The legal case is centered on charges of glorifying terrorism, and authorities are probing how security checks missed such content.

The student, who was scheduled to begin political science studies in Lille, had her enrollment canceled after the posts surfaced. Barrot emphasized that all prior security screenings will be reviewed to prevent similar oversights.

France Had Admitted Dozens Of Gazans Before Suspension

France had accepted dozens of evacuees from Gaza since Israel launched its military campaign in the territory in October 2023. The war, which began following Hamas's October 7 attack, has resulted in more than 207,000 Palestinian casualties, with children and women accounting for the majority of deaths and injuries. Thousands remain missing, and an escalating famine continues to claim lives, including many children.

France’s latest move comes amid increased scrutiny over its domestic and foreign policy responses to the Gaza conflict, with debates intensifying over refugee protocols and national security concerns.
