President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, arrived in Kuwait for an official visit. Landing at Kuwait International Airport at 12:30 PM on the “TRK” aircraft, Erdoğan was received with a ceremonial welcome by Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. The ceremony was attended by Kuwait’s Minister of Public Works Dr. Nora Mohammad Al-Mashaan, Defense Minister Abdullah Ali Al Sabah, other ministers, and officials from the Turkish Embassy in Kuwait.

During bilateral and delegation-level meetings with the Emir, Erdoğan discussed Turkey-Kuwait relations as well as regional and global issues.

Erdoğan Gifts Togg to the Emir

During his official visit, President Erdoğan presented a white Togg vehicle to Emir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. The gift symbolizes the strengthening of diplomatic and technological cooperation between the two countries.

Erdoğan Meets with Kuwait’s Emir Al-Sabah

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held talks with Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, discussing Turkey-Kuwait bilateral relations as well as regional and global issues. Erdoğan also affirmed Turkey’s commitment to working alongside Arab nations for the reconstruction and future of the Syrian people.

Four Agreements Signed Between Turkey and Kuwait

Four key agreements were signed during the visit:

  • Maritime Transportation Agreement
  • Mutual Recognition of Seafarers’ Certificates
  • Bilateral Agreement between Foreign Ministries
  • Energy Cooperation Memorandum

Erdoğan also highlighted the strategic importance of investment, energy, trade, and defense industry cooperation between Turkey and Kuwait, and noted the potential to further develop long-standing relations.

Gaza and Regional Messages

President Erdoğan stressed the critical importance of maintaining the fragile ceasefire in Gaza. He emphasized that a two-state solution is essential for lasting peace and highlighted the importance of a united stance from the Islamic world. Erdoğan also underlined Turkey’s commitment to preserving Syria’s political unity and territorial integrity, stating that Ankara aims to work alongside Arab nations to support the reconstruction and bright future of the Syrian people.

Transition to Qatar

After completing his official visit in Kuwait, President Erdoğan departed at 4:30 PM on the “TRK” aircraft to Doha, Qatar, where he will continue his official meetings.
