Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi reiterated this position during the recent Arab League summit in Baghdad, emphasizing that "any attempts to establish parallel governments will only complicate the crisis." Sisi highlighted the critical need to preserve Sudan's territorial integrity and legitimate institutions as the only path to peace and stability in the region.
The RSF's recent moves are seen as an attempt to counter significant battlefield setbacks, with reports indicating that the group is seeking political recognition to regain influence.
