Another Epstein Associate Winds Up Dead: Epstein Modeling Scout Found Dead in Paris

French authorities have opened an investigation into the death of Daniel Siad, a modeling scout and prominent figure in the Jeffrey Epstein trafficking network, after his body was discovered Monday at his residence in a Paris suburb.

The 69-year-old recruiter was facing mounting legal pressure over his alleged role in procuring women for the late American financier.

His name appeared more than 2,000 times in unsealed U.S. Justice Department files detailing Epstein's international operations.

Active Investigations Halted

Nanterre prosecutors ordered an autopsy to determine the circumstances of Siad’s death at his home in Colombes.

The development effectively terminates a critical avenue for French authorities attempting to map Epstein's European supply chain.

Siad was the subject of an ongoing criminal inquiry in Paris regarding rape and human trafficking allegations.

Former model Ebba Karlsson filed the initial complaint in February, accusing him of a 1990 sexual assault.

His attorney, Ménya Arab-Tigrine, maintained that her client had never been formally prosecuted before his death. “He is dead, and he was innocent,” Arab-Tigrine stated.

The Procurement Network

Documentary evidence revealed Siad received tens of thousands of dollars from Epstein over a decade.

He routinely forwarded photographs of young women, presenting them to the convicted sex offender as potential models or assistants.

In a 2014 email disclosed in U.S. court filings, Siad described his operational methodology. "In This busyness I feel like fisherman some time I cache quick, some time no fish," he wrote to Epstein.

Despite Epstein’s 2008 conviction for sex crimes, Siad maintained their professional relationship.

In recent media interviews, the French recruiter claimed ignorance of the abuse, asserting he believed Epstein acted as a legitimate casting director.

Victim Frustration

Legal representatives for Siad’s accusers expressed severe frustration with the pace of the French judicial system.

They cited extensive delays by the Paris Public Prosecutor’s Office in detaining or questioning the suspect prior to his death.

Siad is the third prominent individual connected to the transatlantic trafficking operation to die before facing trial.

Epstein committed suicide in a New York jail in 2019, while his closest French associate, modeling agent Jean-Luc Brunel, was found hanged in a Paris prison cell in 2022.
