Addameer claimed that repeated efforts to retrieve bodies from around GHF distribution zones have been blocked by Israeli forces. The group emphasized that many of the victims disappeared in the vicinity of heavily surveilled aid points, raising fears that the real toll could be significantly higher than reported.
The missing persons include both young men and elderly civilians who were last seen queuing for basic food assistance. Addameer said the lack of accountability and international silence regarding the GHF's role has enabled further abuses.
The GHF was established under a joint initiative by the United States and Israel to centralize humanitarian relief efforts in Gaza. However, rights groups have repeatedly criticized its operations, citing militarized oversight and reported restrictions on aid access. Addameer’s accusations add to growing calls for an independent investigation into the deaths and disappearances surrounding GHF-controlled areas.
The group urged international bodies to intervene and ensure the protection of civilians seeking food and shelter in Gaza. As the humanitarian situation deteriorates, observers warn that control over aid corridors has become a flashpoint in the wider conflict.
