Satellite Imagery Reveals Iranian Efforts to Rebuild Bombed Nuclear Facilities
New satellite imagery indicates Iran is secretly reconstructing suspected nuclear and missile facilities. The covert repairs raise questions about Tehran's adherence to a late June agreement with the US, just as renewed American airstrikes push peace further out of reach.

Fresh satellite imagery indicates that Tehran has initiated repair and reconstruction efforts at multiple suspected nuclear installations and military bases.
The visual data, acquired and reviewed by CNN alongside the Institute for Science and International Security, captures operational activity at sites previously targeted during joint U.S. and Israeli bombing campaigns.
These reconstruction efforts raise immediate questions regarding Tehran's compliance with a memorandum of understanding signed with the US in late June.
Under the terms of that agreement, Iran committed to halting the procurement and development of nuclear weapons.
Rebuilding Parchin
At the Parchin complex, a facility suspected of housing explosive materials for nuclear weapons development, visual evidence from June and July outlines an active repair operation.
The site previously featured a heavy concrete shield that was pierced by bunker-busting munitions.
Recent imagery shows temporary covers initially placed over the impact craters, which were later replaced with mesh screens.
Concrete mixing trucks have since arrived at the perimeter.
Experts analyzing the movements concluded that "The Iranians are intending to seal the holes."
Underground Tunnels and Missile Sites
Activity extends beyond Parchin to Pickax Mountain, an underground installation linked to Iran's advanced nuclear capabilities.
Vehicles are visibly circulating at the tunnel entrances on site.
Analysts reviewing the movements stated this was "likely a violation of the term signed with the U.S., which required Iran to maintain the status quo regarding their nuclear program."
In contrast, other established nuclear locations, such as Isfahan, have not exhibited similar signs of reconstruction.
Broader Infrastructure Repairs
Iranian efforts to restore military capacity also encompass regional missile and aviation infrastructure.
New paving has been recorded at the Tabriz missile base, while tunnel access points are being actively cleared by excavators at a facility in Kermanshah.
Maintenance operations are similarly visible at the Tabriz airbase, where crews are filling in a large crater.
This ground-level intelligence only recently became available after the U.S. government eased restrictions that had previously forced providers to withhold regional satellite imagery.
