Ukraine’s Air Force reported Monday that it successfully repelled a large-scale overnight Russian air assault involving 136 drones and four anti-aircraft guided missiles. The attacks were launched from several Russian regions and occupied territories, including Orel, Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Donetsk.

Ukrainian air defense units, including aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups, intercepted 61 drones. Another 47 drones were neutralized or suppressed by electronic warfare measures, according to military officials.

Continued Pressure on Ukraine’s Defenses

The latest assault highlights the sustained intensity of Russia’s drone and missile campaign, with Kyiv’s forces forced to respond on multiple fronts. Ukraine’s defenders have adapted through a layered defense system combining traditional air defenses with mobile units and electronic countermeasures to blunt the impact of Russia’s saturation tactics.

No reports of casualties or significant infrastructure damage were immediately available.
