Medical officials at Nasser Medical Complex confirmed the death of Saeed Kamal Abu Younis, a child killed by falling aid in Khan Younis. The tragic incident is part of a broader crisis, with Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) reporting that aid drop zones have become "kill zones" rather than safe havens. The group urged an immediate halt to aid distribution by the American-based Gaza Humanity Foundation and called on donors to stop supporting what it described as “death traps.”

According to the World Health Organization, the month of July saw an alarming spike in acute malnutrition, with approximately 12,000 children under five now suffering. WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus called for uninterrupted and increased aid delivery through all available routes.

In less than two months, two treatment centers near Gaza Humanity drop zones documented 1,380 injuries, with 28 fatalities, further underlining the risks of current aid distribution strategies.

Ongoing Israeli Bombardment Increases Civilian Toll

Amid deteriorating humanitarian conditions, Israeli forces continued their aerial and artillery strikes across the Gaza Strip. Medical sources reported 43 Palestinians killed by Israeli attacks since Thursday morning. A woman was killed in Gaza City’s Al-Tuffah neighborhood after drone strikes targeted residential homes, with several others wounded.

Israeli drones also bombed a house in Deir al-Balah, while artillery shelled northern Nuseirat camp and the vicinity of Al-Amal neighborhood in Khan Younis. Al Jazeera correspondents reported multiple airstrikes on homes near Al-Ibki Mosque in eastern Gaza City.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been accused of carrying out a campaign of mass killings, forced displacement, destruction, and starvation in Gaza, with full U.S. support. Gaza health authorities reported 61,258 dead, 152,045 injured, and over 9,000 missing, alongside hundreds of thousands displaced and famine-induced deaths—many of them children.
