Syrian Army Takes Control of Deir Hafer

The Syrian Army has taken full control of Maskanah and Deir Hafer following the withdrawal of the SDF terror group west of the Euphrates.

The Syrian Ministry of Defense confirmed that army units targeted identified SDF positions along the Deir Hafer–Maskanah axis, forcing the terror group to withdraw from its contact lines west of the Euphrates River.

After the withdrawal, Syrian forces established full control over Deir Hafer and subsequently seized Maskanah, securing a strategic corridor east of Aleppo.

Closed Military Zone Extends Toward Raqqa

Syrian state television Al-Ikhbariyah reported that the army declared areas west of the Euphrates a closed military zone after PKK-linked SDF terrorists targeted Syrian military positions.

Military maps released by authorities show the restricted zone extending to the zero point of Raqqa city center east of the Euphrates, indicating preparations for a broader operation.

Civilians Warned to Avoid Terrorist Positions

The Syrian Army urged civilians in the designated military zone to immediately distance themselves from positions held by the PKK, SDF terrorists, and remnants of the former regime.

Officials emphasized that the operation is aimed solely at terrorist elements and armed groups seeking to destabilize the country.

Al-Jarrah Military Airbase Secured

In a parallel development, the Syrian Army announced it had taken full control of the Al-Jarrah Military Airbase in eastern Aleppo, a strategically significant site.

Meanwhile, Syrian forces have begun fortifying positions in southwestern Raqqa province, reinforcing expectations of an imminent operation toward the city.
