“Disturbing” Allegations Against Trump Claimed to Be in Epstein Files
California Democratic Representative Ted Lieu has claimed that unredacted Jeffrey Epstein case files contain serious allegations involving President Donald Trump, a charge the Trump administration has categorically denied.

A political storm erupted in Washington after Representative Ted Lieu of California asserted that newly reviewed, unredacted materials from the Jeffrey Epstein case contain deeply troubling allegations connected to former President Donald Trump.
Allegations and Denials
Speaking publicly about the documents made available to select members of Congress, Lieu claimed the files contain numerous references to Trump and include explicit accusations involving minors. He argued that the material warrants urgent scrutiny by both media organizations and law enforcement authorities.
The Trump administration responded swiftly and forcefully, rejecting the claims outright. Officials described the accusations as unfounded and politically driven, insisting there is no credible evidence linking Trump to criminal conduct in the released materials.
Congressional Confrontation
The dispute escalated earlier this year during a congressional oversight hearing, when Lieu pressed Attorney General Pam Bondi over the handling of sexual assault allegations allegedly referenced in the files. Lieu questioned why certain complaints were not pursued more aggressively and accused the Justice Department of failing to fully investigate tips related to the case.
He also criticized what he described as inconsistencies in official statements regarding the scope of the unredacted documents and whether specific allegations had been reviewed by federal investigators.
Transparency Debate
The controversy stems from the implementation of the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which mandated the public release of court records, FBI documents and related materials connected to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein and his network.
The files span millions of pages and reference numerous high-profile individuals across politics, business and international circles. While being named in documents does not constitute evidence of wrongdoing, the disclosures have fueled renewed political tensions in Washington.
Lieu has argued that the American public deserves full transparency and accountability as authorities continue to review and release additional materials. Meanwhile, Trump and his allies maintain that the accusations are defamatory and unsupported by verified evidence.
The debate over the Epstein records is expected to intensify as more documents are examined and political pressure mounts on both the Justice Department and lawmakers involved in oversight.
