Kabul claimed several homes were hit, calling the attack “a breach of sovereignty.” Islamabad rejected the allegations, insisting the operation targeted “terror networks” responsible for attacks on Pakistani soil. Independent footage from the border region showed damaged buildings, but casualty reports remain contested.

Diplomatic channels are now focused on restoring calm. Sources said both sides are considering renewed talks in Doha, with mediators pushing for de-escalation.
