Efforts to distribute humanitarian aid in Gaza continue to be marred by bloodshed, with Gaza’s Health Ministry reporting that eight Palestinians were killed and more than 40 injured in the past 24 hours alone near food distribution points.

Rising Death Toll Amid Desperation

The latest fatalities bring the total number of Palestinians killed while attempting to access food and essential supplies to 751 since the war began. At least 4,931 others have been wounded during these incidents, which often occur near U.S.- and Israeli-backed distribution hubs.

The humanitarian crisis in Gaza has intensified in recent months. According to health officials, 6,860 Palestinians have been killed and 24,220 wounded since March 18, 2025, reflecting the rising human cost as ceasefire negotiations falter and international aid remains insufficient.

The UN and human rights groups have repeatedly warned that Gaza’s overcrowded and poorly managed aid sites have become lethal due to a lack of coordination, military proximity, and desperation among starving civilians. Multiple incidents have been documented where aid convoys or collection points have come under direct fire.

Despite international condemnation, access to food, medicine, and fuel remains limited, with relief efforts struggling to keep pace with demand.
