According to Wafa news agency, the fatal strike targeted an apartment where Sultan and his family were staying. The incident has drawn sharp criticism given Sultan’s role in overseeing one of Gaza’s key medical institutions amid the region's deepening humanitarian crisis.
Second Attack Hits School
In a separate incident the same day, Israeli forces also targeted al-Zaytoun School in Gaza City, killing two Palestinians and wounding several others. Both strikes come as violence continues to escalate across the enclave.
Medical Sector Under Siege
Dr. Sultan had been actively urging the global community to ensure the safety of medical teams operating in Gaza, many of whom have come under repeated attacks. His death highlights the growing vulnerability of essential civil infrastructure and humanitarian staff in the besieged territory.
