U.S. President Donald Trump announced during a Central Asia leaders’ summit at the White House that Kazakhstan had officially agreed to join the Abraham Accords. He described the decision as “a historic step for regional peace.”

I am very pleased to announce that Kazakhstan has officially agreed to join the Abraham Accords. This decision was made just minutes ago by a great country with a strong leader. It is a tremendous honor.
Expanding the Abraham Accords
Kazakhstan’s participation marks the first expansion of the Abraham Accords into Central Asia. The accords aim to normalize diplomatic relations between Israel and Arab or Muslim-majority nations.
Initially launched under the Trump administration, the Abraham Accords have so far been signed by the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco, and Sudan. Kazakhstan’s inclusion is expected to strengthen its diplomatic role in regional and global affairs.
Signing Ceremony Expected Soon
In a social media post, Trump said he had spoken with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and that the formal signing ceremony would be held “in the near future.”
“This marks an important milestone — not only for the Middle East but for global peace,” Trump wrote.
