DOJ, FBI Say Epstein Had No Client List And Died By Suicide
Trump-era DOJ and FBI find no evidence Epstein was murdered or kept a “client list”
July 07, 2025Clash Report
The memo, reviewed by Axios, states that enhanced video footage from Epstein’s Manhattan prison showed no one entered the area near his cell between the evening of August 9 and the morning of August 10, 2019, when he was found unresponsive.
The footage supports the medical examiner’s original ruling of suicide, contradicting widespread speculation that Epstein may have been murdered to silence him. “He killed himself,” said FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino on Fox News in May.
No “Client List” Or Blackmail Evidence
The DOJ and FBI also reported no credible evidence of a hidden client list or blackmail scheme involving powerful individuals. The memo notes that despite extensive reviews of files, interviews, and materials, investigators found “no basis to predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties.”
Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s longtime associate, is currently serving a 20-year sentence for child sex trafficking.
Political Fallout And Continued Questions
The announcement arrives amid political tension, especially following Elon Musk’s accusation—later deleted—that Trump was linked to the Epstein files. The Trump administration cited former Epstein lawyer David Schoen in denying any criminal implication involving the former president.
Still, some MAGA figures and members of Congress remain critical of the disclosure, with Rep. Anna Paulina Luna calling the findings “a complete disappointment.”
The DOJ memo states no further Epstein-related disclosures are warranted, citing privacy protections for victims and concerns about spreading unverified allegations.
