Rafael’s integration of Sentrycs’ “Cyber over RF” technology marks a key evolution in counter-drone defense. This protocol-based system connects directly to a drone’s communication link, allowing the Drone Dome to identify not just the drone, but also its operator in real time—even when the signals use frequency-hopping techniques to avoid detection.
The enhanced system initiates tracking immediately upon signal detection. Unlike older models, it does not require a preloaded library of known drone signals, making it effective against unfamiliar or modified platforms.
Adaptive Technology Without Preloaded Libraries
The newly added features mean Rafael’s Drone Dome can respond to a broader range of aerial threats with greater precision and speed. This development is especially critical given the increasing use of small, customized drones in conflict zones, where signal patterns often differ from those in standard military or commercial systems.
The upgrade positions the Drone Dome as one of the more adaptive and intelligent counter-drone systems available, improving situational awareness and shortening response times.
