Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity confirmed that a service building within a power and water desalination plant was struck as part of what it described as Iranian aggression against the state. The attack killed an Indian worker on-site and caused “significant material damage” to the structure.
Authorities said technical and emergency response teams were immediately dispatched to the location. Their priority is to manage the aftermath of the strike and ensure that the plant continues operating without major disruption.
There has been no official response from Iran regarding the incident. However, Iranian state media cited Kuwaiti sources acknowledging the extent of the damage caused by the strike.
